Set of 6 Painted and Gilded Italian Chairs (c. 1880 Italy)

Circa 1880, set of 6 painted and gilded Italian chairs (comprising 5 side and 1 arm chair), with a carved canopy and cherub and foliate carving, the backs which are framed and carved and gilded with upholstered backs and seats. The armchair has a wonderful scrolling arm with acanthus on both ends, the chairs have a similar carved frieze that goes around the whole chair, standing on square tapering and carved legs with shaped united stretcher which is also carved, finishing on squat bun feet. Good condition, very stylish.
