A SET OF SIX EMPIRE PAPIER PEINTE PANELS
France
Circa 1820.



Each panel depicting a figure in a landscape symbolising a month of the year , worked in yellow and ochre against a blue/grey background landscape, on a pale blue ground, with decorative borders to the top and base, a cartouche below each figure respectively inscribed Janvier, Fevrier, Mars, Avril, Mai, Juin.





Measurements: 63” (160cm) High 21” (53cm) Wide
