Set of Six Victorian Elm & Oak Antique Country Kitchen Chairs.
In the Georgian design this set of six elm & oak antique country kitchen chairs actually date from the Victorian era, circa 1890. They have beautifully turned spindle backs and stand on shaped legs with pad feet. They have beautifully turned cross stretchers, for that added stability, and are finished with ‘rush’ seats (one of which has been recently renewed). These fine antique country chairs have the usual old repairs consistent with age and use, giving great character and authenticity but are still very sturdy and good for everyday use. They are light to medium in colour with a striking grain, good patina, are in very good condition and have been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
