The watch was made by E. Harrison, a listed maker of repute
The watch is keeping time to around +/- 20inutes a day
Also if this is your first verge fusee pocket watch, please do ask for advice before buying as these watches are tricky to wind and easy to break
Movement – This is a particularly fine and rare pocket watch movement. The gilt full plate verge movement has the top plate in silver. The watch cock is a particularly fine example and the regulator disc, which is normally silver (against a gilt movement) is a golden colour. The movement has cylindrical pillars and is signed “E. Harrison, Warrington” # 717
The movement is in 95% mint condition – small marks only
Inner case – the movement comes in a silver inner case, which has a hinged bezel and the watch is wound from the back, set from the front and swings out from the front also. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition – the stem is original and the case has tiny marks only. The bow is original but is a gilt colour
Outer case – the silver outer case has a smooth plain finish and a large box hinge. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition – a light indentation on one side, apart from that in immaculate condition
The watch has a superb watch paper from Alton
Dial – the white enamel dial has gilt hands and the dial is in 90% mint condition – small marks on the edge of the dial and some light scratches from the hands rotating.
The watch has a bulls eye mineral glass
