“Human” Leg Tripod Base
Of Vernacular “Manx” Form
Honey Coloured and Well Patinated Elm and Oak

A wonderful vernacular tripod wine table in the “Manx” tradition with three carved human form legs terminating in stylised feet. The generous single plank top is created from a specimen piece of solid elm, it shoes delightful signs of movement lending character to the surface which bears incidental historic marks and stains enhancing its character with genuine patination and untouched surface. The top revolves on a “birdcage” action and is supported by a classic turned baluster stem and raised on the “Manx” for tripod base. It benefits from a fine rich nutty colour to the base and a wonderful faded honey colour to the well patinated top. There is no evidence of any significant damage or restoration and the table has complete integrity and originality.
