Raised on cabriole legs, this mid-18th century English small walnut lowboy/ dressing/ vanity table is only 2′ 5″ wide .

Retaining its original open fret brasses, which are typical of the mid 18th century.

Excellent well-figured walnut of mellow colour and original waxed surface.

It has a shaped apron consisting of 3 cockbeaded drawers.

Inlaid with boxwood lines.

This versatile antique can be used as a side, lamp, small occasional, writing, dressing table or ‘vanity’.

Raised on cabriole legs.
Ralph Edwards illustrates a similar walnut lowboy on p.542 fig.2 ‘Walnut Table; cabriole legs; shaped underframing, fitted with three drawers ca. 1715 (Macquoid Collection).’ The brasses appear to match.
