A small Scottish Georgian style chest of five inlaid drawers.
The chest has been reconstructed in the 19th century from an 18th century Georgian mahogany chest with period Georgian brass handles and key hole escutcheons.
The chest still has it's original lignum vitae and iron casters underneath.
The chest has two small short drawers over three long graduated drawers that are oak lined with the moulding surrounding the drawers applied to the chest frame.
The chest looks the part of a mid 18th century small chest but has been made in the late 19th century with replacement Chubb brass locks. (Circa 1850)
