A small oak longcase clock in the 18th Century style made at the beginning of the 20th Century. It has a square hood, with a long door with a break arch and stands on bun feet. It has a hand engraved brass dial with a silvered chapter ring .The 8 day Westminster chime (Big Ben) movement sounds 1/4's and hours on eight chime bars and has a long wood rod pendulum with a cylindrical brass bob. The maker of the movement was Mathais Bauerle, who was from St. Georgen in the Black Forest region of Germany. The chimes and strike can be silenced with levers on the dial.
The case is in excellent original condition, the movement has been fully serviced and is guaranteed for 12 months. If you would like a video clip of this clock chiming please email us.
