Small Regency Mahogany Antique Chest on Chest / Chest of Drawers.
Dating from around 1810 this is a beautifully proportioned small Regency mahogany antique chest on chest / chest of drawers. It has a rectangular top above five graduating oak lined drawers with cock beading and circular brass handles. It stands on shaped bracket feet and shows signs (to the expert eye) of being adapted during the Edwardian period to become this very practical manageable size, unusual for a chest on chest design. It is a gorgeous warm medium mahogany with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
