Small Victorian Walnut Antique Display Cabinet / Music Cabinet.
Dating from around 1890, this small Victorian walnut antique display cabinet would have originally been used to store sheet music but would serve as a very useful small bookcase in today’s world. It has a raised scrolled back above a rectangular moulded top and a central glazed door with key and working lock. The interior has two adjustable shelves and the whole piece stands on a moulded plinth. The antique display cabinet has the usual minor marks on the top from use which add to its character and authenticity. It is a warm medium walnut with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
