In excellent overall condition and dating to around 1880. Overall length 33 inches (85cm), Head 3.25 inches (8cm) long. Brass ferrule
There was a huge interest in anything Egyptian at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. This exploded with the Howards Carters discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb. What is not commonly known is Carter had worked in Egypt for 31 years before his ultimate discovery. Following the discovery there were a whole host of walking canes made depicting the pharaoh
