Porcelain mug.An early nineteenth-century gilded mug with a bat print of a girl with dog, based on the contemporary painting by Sir Joshua Reynolds, Miss Bowles and her Dog (in the Wallace Collection http://www.abcgallery.com/R/reynolds/reynolds130.html)

The mug to each side has the initials L P intertwined,suggesting this mug was in the nature of a gift.
Some rubbling to gilding,some slight marking above the rim to the left of the handle.
