An unusual and amusing Staffordshire pottery ' Large Hands' Toby jug, c. 1820. The Larger than usual Toby jug, sometimes thought to be a Coachman, seated and holding in his outsized hands a jug of frothing beer and a glass.also having large shoulders and a large head.
Having an elaborate acanthus scroll handle.
Decorated in over glaze enamels.
Small repair to brim of hat. Typical minor wear to the overgraze enamels. Otherwise in excellent condition.
