Sterling Silver Four Piece Tea and Coffee Service - Art Deco Style - Antique George V

Each piece of this fine set has an oval shaped form onto a shaped swept foot, all in the iconic Art Deco style.
The surface of each component of this impressive Art Deco tea set is plain and unembellished, incorporating convex protruding angular panels to either side.
The coffee jug and teapot are fitted with hallmarked hinged covers and retain the original phenolic resin* finials, in the stepped Art Deco style.
The teapot and coffee jug are fitted with the original angular Art Deco style phenolic resin handles.
The cream jug is fitted with a sterling silver Art Deco style handle, matching the design of the teapot and coffee jug handles.
The quaich style sugar bowl has plain rounded handles to either side.
* Phenolic resin was originally known as Bakelite and can range from a dark-coloured yellow to dark red. This material was often used to compliment sterling silver pieces from the Art Deco period
