Item Description / Dealer Expertise

Ludwig Augustin was an Austrian genre, interior and still life painter. His subjects were usually historical scenes, often containing object d’art and executed with a high degree of finish. His still life paintings also have a decidedly earlier feel to them with the inclusion of ornate antique objects and taking their influence from the Dutch still life masters.
