Suite of Antique Italian Silver Dishes (c. 1880 Italian)

An excellent quality set of decorative antique silver dishes with matching sugar castor. Heavy gauge silver. A perfect dessert service decorated with classical motifs, swags of ribbons and cherub figurehead handles. Weight 2491 grams, 80 troy ounces. Oval dishes – Height 10 cms, top 18 x 12 cms, spread 20 cms. Round dishes – Height 8.5 cms, diameter 12 cms. Castor – height 17 cms. Stamped underneath with Italian silver grade 800 and makers mark for Demetrio Kremos of the Demetrio Kremos and Sotirios Boulgaris partnership who worked together in Italy during the 1880’s. After this Sotirios went on to form the world famous Bulgari firm of jewellers.
