Item Description / Dealer Expertise
A quality and proportioned mahogany miniature longcase clock (Also known as Grandmother clock). The solid mahogany case has a break arch hood, reeded side pillars, a long door and an inset circular panel within the base. The traditional brass dial has corner spandrels, and a silvered chapter ring with a finely hand enraved centre. It is signed by the makers "Pidduck & Sons ", Hanley. It has a well made 8 day weight driven movement that strikes the hours on a gong, complete with brass encased weights and pendulum.
