The box is in mint condition.

This is a fancy cylindrical box made from Chinese Silver. The box has a lid, which slots onto the box. The interior of the box has a rich gold colour. The lid of the box is decorated with a superb repousse scene of a Pagoda and courtyard with figures going about every day life. The scene has superb miniature detailing. The side of the lid is decorated with a band of flowers and leaves again in repousse work. The sides of the main body of the box is decorated with a continuous repousse diorama of village and monastic life with figures talking, working, worshipping. There are also various animals, trees and foliage. The base of the box has a smooth plain finish.
