Roman Empire, c. 1st-2nd Century AD
Exquisite pair of gold earrings, consisting of a sealed, irregular oval hoop bearing frontal deep circular bezel set with trapezium-sectioned carnelian inlay; tripartite drop formed of three conical spacers each with glass bead at base, suspended via means of hoop at head which connects to base of hoop.
A fine pair of earrings.
Please note the hoop is sealed thus requires modification in order to be worn. Please inquire for further details.
