An early 19th Century Swedish cream painted longcase clock from the Mora district in |Sweden. It has a circular hood, with a straight trunk with dental moulding an axe door, with a window for viewig the swinging pendulum. The base is of traditional outsplayed form. It has an 8 day movement, that strikes the hours on a gong. The convex dial is marked "Mora".
