Part One - 'Songs of Praise', vii, , i-xxiii, , 40pp; Part Two - 'Songs of the Sea', 24pp; Part Three - 'Songs of Loyalty and the Love of the Land', 44pp; Part Four - 'Rounds and Catches', 32pp; Part Five - 'Songs of the Country and the Tilling of the Soil', 52pp; Part Six - 'The Songs of Sport', 28pp; Part Seven - 'Songs of the Tavern and the Vine', 20pp; Part Eight - 'Workshop Songs or Songs of the Craft', 24pp; Part Nine - 'Songs of Comradeship, Love and Courtship', 76pp and Part 10 - 'Miscellany of Song, in Which are Included Songs of the Universities and Songs of Pure Nonsense', 60pp. Unbound in the original green buckram folders, lettered to upper cover in black and numbered to foot of spines. Externally very minor wear, one or two covers lightly foxed. Internally, occasional light foxing, slightly heavier to the divisional title of part three, but generally quite bright and clean. One of two hundred on paper (with another five on vellum), this is number fifty-six. Printed in red and black, with the musical notation by Paul Woodroffe. Uncommon. Tomkinson 42
