A rare example of a documented Arts & Crafts necklace representing the Welsh Saint Winifred.
There are few Arts & Crafts examples associated with Wales. The foremost designer being William Burges. This example of St Winifred the Welsh beheaded Saint by Bonnor adds to the few examples extant of Welsh high end Arts & Crafts.
Very good
This necklace has been painted by his sister Rose Bonnor in a painting entitled 'The Solace of Our Labors' With thanks to Muriel Wilson for her research.
