Bradbury and Evans
Two volumes complete - Volume One - viii, 382pp and Volume Two - viii, 376pp. Later full crushed morocco, raised bands, spines in six panels, title in gilt to second panel, author and volume to fourth, remaining panels with central diamond with concave sides surrounded by small volute, leafy stem and roundel tools, covers with triple fillet border, elaborate gilt rolled inner dentelles, t.e.g. marbled endpapers. Slightly rubbed to extremities, spines very slightly faded, small chip to headcap of volume one, upper cover of volume one slightly scuffed to lower portion. Internally some very minor browning, plates lightly browned to edges, but generally quite bright and clean. Binding is by Alfred Matthews. Bound from the original parts, with wrappers and most of the adverts bound in. Conforms to Van Duzer with the following exceptions - Part IV the De Jongh advert is on yellow paper; Part V has extra 4pp Medicine advert and extra 4pp De Jongh advert; Part VII the de Jongh advert is 2pp, lacks both slip adverts; Part VIII the Nissen and Parker advert is 4pp; Part XVI lacks the John Cassell Publications adverts; Part XX lacks both slip adverts and Part XXIV lacks Grace Aguilars Works adverts.
