In Germany and Austria student-hunting fraternities still exist who wear tags or badges awarded for special merit on coloured sashes. The bunch of tags used to be fastened to the pocket watch, now they are fastened to a special tag clasp on the wearers belt, and they often also have amulets such as wolves or deer’s teeth, eagle or falcon claws and stoat jaws such as these examples fastened to them.
