A fine three train skeleton clock by Evans of Handsworth with the 8 bells and their hammers mounted transversely across the top of the clock. It would probably have been made in the third quarter of the 19th century.

The fully fretted out silvered chapter ring employs Roman numerals. To the bottom of the front of the frame is the name, on an attractively shaped and silvered plaque, of the eminent retailer and maker Bennett, London.

There is a two tier marble base which rests on bun feet.

Height with/without dome - 25"/23.5" (63.5/60.5 cm.)
