Ceramic tray in wood frame. Designed by Christian Neureuther for Wachtersbacher of Germany c. 1905.
A highly stylised seccesionist art nouveau design within a similarly stylised wooden frame with brass handles. The reverse carries the factory mark and the initials for Christian Neureuther.

Christian Neureuther set up an Art Ceramics studio at Wachtersbacher in 1903. He was considered one of the most important ceramic designers of his time producing significant Art nouveau designs.
