Item Description / Dealer Expertise

An unusual Pair of 19th Century ormolu Candlesticks in the form of Gothic towers with ribbed stems joined by triple spires ending on double-stepped arched window bases raised on triple bracket feet. After designs by Augustus Pugin (1812-1852), best remembered for his work in the Gothic Revival style particularly at the Palace of Westminster. (Now converted for electricity.)
