A very rare and interesting OSP chamberstick dating from about 1830 with integral container for early instantaneous light 'matches' and acid bottle. It also has a telescopic action with 'twist-eject' mechanism. This operates by twisting the shaft of the candleholder to wind up a pricket which enables one to burn a candle down to a tiny stub. It has a cone extinguisher which is associated and unusual supports for a candlesnuffer which is missing. There is wear to the plate as can be seen in the photos and a small section of the edge moulding is damaged near the handle.
