A weathered marble copy of the Roman period copy of a long lost Greek, possibly bronze, original.

This Grand Tour copy of the Venus now in the Uffizi Gallery, Florence, is lacking arms as was the original - these were (restored) by Ercole Ferrata in the 18th century.

Pietro Barzanti was a son of the Bazzanti Family who sold their 'Gallery Bazzanti', established in 1822 in Florence, a gallery which overlooking the river Arno still exists today.
