Victorian Antique Scottish Flamed Mahogany Chest of Drawers with Carved Corbels.
Dating from around 1870, this is a Victorian Scottish flamed mahogany chest of drawers with beautiful carved corbels a rectangular top and a shaped frieze drawer. Below this there are two over three oak lined drawers with turned handles each having inlaid centres. The antique chest of drawers stands on four tall turned bun feet and has the usual minor marks from age and use which add character and authenticity to the piece and are to be expected from a genuine antique. It is a medium mahogany with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
