Victorian Bow Fronted Beautifully Inlaid Antique Mahogany Double Wardrobe.
This antique Victorian mahogany double wardrobe, dating from around 1890, has a beautifully inlaid bow front. It has a moulded cornice with Grecian moulding above two beautifully inlaid doors with flamed mahogany oval central panels with boxwood and ebony string inlay and key with working lock. The interior has a brass hanging rail and hooks while the lower section has an oak lined bow front beautifully figured drawer with oval handles. The antique wardrobe stands on splayed bracket feet and still has its original oak back boards. It is a warm, rich medium mahogany with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. It also splits onto three sections, aiding transportation.
