Victorian Burr Walnut Antique Davenport
This beautiful Victorian burr walnut Davenport / writing desk ca1870 has an ogee moulded top section with a moulded lift up lid and brass gallery. The antique writing desk has a moulded lift up writing slope (slight warp)with tooled leather writing insert and the interior has two small mahogany lined draws. The lower section of the antique davenport has 4 beautiful scrolled carved brackets and a moulded front. One side has a cupboard door and the interior has four mahogany lined draws with brass swan neck handles. The antique davenport stands on beautiful turned feet with white porcelain casters. This beautiful piece of antique furniture is a rich golden walnut colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
