Circa 1870, Victorian stained beech, walnut and elm captains chair. The chair has a classical shaped top rail with 3 open fretwork panels, arms with a slight square end, and a stuff over seat. The legs are beech and ash, with stretchers of ash. The frame around the back of the chair is walnut as are the splats on the uprights. A chair of multiple of woods, with a good generous seat and really comfortable.
