Victorian Flamed Mahogany Antique Small Sideboard / Chiffonier.
This classic Victorian flamed mahogany antique sideboard / chiffonier, circa 1860, has relatively small proportions making it a very practical size. It has a rectangular top above two mahogany lined frieze drawers and two cupboard doors with striking flamed mahogany central moulded arched panels. The interior has two sliding linen trays and one large deep drawer (originally used as a cellarette) with original swan neck handle, a very convenient configuration for a piece of dining room furniture. It has the usual minor old repairs which are not noticeable, stands on a plain plinth and is a rich, medium mahogany with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
