Victorian Mahogany Antique Triple Wardrobe with Beautiful Figuring.
This finely figured antique triple wardrobe / linen press is made from mahogany and dates from the Victorian period circa 1860. It has a moulded cornice with rounded corners above three full length doors, the two outer doors are strikingly figured while the central door has a full length mirror (some foxing is visible). Behind the right hand door there is a hanging rail above a single adjustable linen tray. Behind the remaining two doors of the antique wardrobe / linen press there are five mahogany lined sliding linen trays above a beautifully figured double drawer with turned handles. The whole piece stands on a figured moulded plinth and has the original back boards, and splits into five sections, aiding transportation. It is a rich medium mahogany with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
