Victorian Rosewood Antique Bookcase / Display Cabinet by James Winter & Sons, London.
This is a stunning example of a rosewood antique bookcase/display cabinet from the Victorian period, circa 1860, complete with makers stamp belonging to James Winter & Sons of London. It has a rectangular moulded top above two glazed moulded doors with key and working lock. The interior has two adjustable shelves. The antique bookcase stands on a moulded plinth and has its original back boards. It is a warm medium rosewood with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
