Victorian Silver Owl Peppers
A delightful pair of antique sterling silver novelty pepperettes, each in the form of an owl with detachable head and glass eyes. Beautifully modelled and engraved, the quality is very realistic. Total weight 88 grams, 2.8 troy ounces. Height 9 cms. London 1865. Maker George John Richards & Edward Charles Brown.
These lovely silver owls are in good condition with no restoration. The engraving is crisp. Both have a full and matching set of English silver hallmarks on the bodies (at the back) and on the tops (on the neck). One owl has a dent on the head, between the eyes, and a small dent on the front of the body.

Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.
