An attractive antique silver plated serving stand in the form of a shell supporting a tall overhanging branch entwined with bunches of grapes and vine tendrils. Excellent quality. These dishes look superb when a bunch of grapes is suspended from the top. Height 29 cms. Base 29 x 17 cms. Circa 1880. Marked underneath for James Dixon & Co.
This pretty serving dish is in excellent condition with no damage or restoration. Re-plated. The silver plate is not worn.
