Victorian Walnut Antique Pier Cabinet / Display Cabinet.
This beautiful Victorian walnut antique pier cabinet / display cabinet with gorgeous brass ormolu mounts dates from around 1870. It has a rectangular top above a beautifully curved inlaid frieze below which sits a glazed door with key and working lock. The interior of the cabinet contains two shelves. Framing the door are four ornate brass ormolu mounts and beautifully detailed inlaid sides. The antique pier cabinet stands on a shaped plinth and is a rich golden walnut with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
