The Lady seated in a white dress has similarities to Le Reveil (The Awakening) housed in the Musee d'Orsay (accession no. R.F.1980-86) and as an oil sketch had yet perhaps to be completed by Connard. The Portrait of Mrs. L M Anson presents a very similar style and would suggest that Connard did use an impressionistic approach for some pictures. He did work in Paris.
The View Over Richmond Park has resonances in Spring on Wimbledon Common in 1924 (London Transport Museum 1983/4/1699). Connard produced a number of posters to advertise London Transport. Cloud depiction here accords with that of 'Summer' and the style is shown dramatically in 'The Thames' (National Gallery of Scotland and BBC Your Paintings)
