The surface of this fine example of vintage silverware is plain and embellished with fluted decoration to the lower portion.
The impressive vessel is supported by an impressive applied, knopped pedestal crafted accented with fluted decoration in the Arts and Crafts style.
The hallmarks struck to the underside of this two-handled bowl include:
Maker's mark: Georg Jensen (this mark was used between 1945-present)
Country mark: Denmark
Silver quality/purity mark: Sterling (925/1000)
Designer's mark: GA (Gundorph Albertus (1887-1970))
Registration number: 259
Diameter of rim 14.5cm/5.7"
Diameter of foot 6.1cm/2.4"
