The surface of each coaster is embellished with a naturalistic chased decorated texture, with a plain band to the rim.
The convex domed interior of the coasters are plain and unembellished.
The subtly concave underside of each coaster is encircled with the contemporary engraved inscription ‘To Roy Nash from his colleagues on IASC, June 1979’*.
