The body/shaft of the pencil is embellished with engine turned decoration incorporating a plain rectangular vacant cartouche.
The upper portion of the pencil has a heptagonal shaped form and is ornamented with the original enamel calendar; the numerical markers rotate to align with the days of the week.
The upper portion of this exceptional example of vintage silverware retains the original scrolling pocket clip.
The hallmarked cover bears the retailer's mark 'Baker's Pointer, Made in England'.
This vintage pencil is fitted to the original hinged leatherette presentation box with satin and velvet lined interior, securing with a push fit catch.
The interior of the box bears the retailer's mark 'Yard-O-LEd, Made in England' and retains the original instructions to refill the pencil.
