The tapering column has a textured finish.
The loop handle is encircled with impressive pierced and applied foliate decoration in a laurel design, with a plain ring to the centre discreetly inscribed with two cross marks to one side and three to the other; these are property markings and do not detract from the aesthetically pleasing appearance of the piece.
The column and handle are enhanced with gilt decoration.
This fine example of vintage silverware has a plain and unembellished bell shaped waist into a collet style sound bow, and retains the original hallmarked clapper.
This impressive table bell reflects the iconic style of the modern London silversmith Stuart Devlin.
Diameter of bell 7.2cm/2.9"
Diameter of handle 5.4cm/2.1"
8.9 troy ounces/276g

The decoration to this piece is very sharp.
Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the waist and part hallmarks struck to the clapper are all very clear.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of vintage silverware.
