The mount incorporates a hallmarked hinged cover in the form of the upper portion of the bird's head.

The cover retains the original bead eyes.

The vintage shaped glass body is embellished with simplified tiered feather designs and incorporates a draw hole to ease the liquids release through the tilting, pouring action.

This vintage silver and glass claret jug was crafted by the renowned London silversmiths Asprey & Co Ltd.
