The Mug is modelled in the very rare "Pear" shaped form, with a bellied main body and everted rim. The main body is plain in design and the applied scroll handle is decorated with linear bands. The front is engraved with a beautiful unusual Armorial, flanked with a crossed plume cartouche. The Mug displays its original interior hammer marks and is very well marked on the base. It has a very good colour and is in excellent condition. The maker's mark of RT is illustrated on page 145 of Jackson's, "Silver & Gold Marks". This is the first time we have offered a mug of this rare form.
