England, as an eagle, ejects the son of James II for his imputed intrusion and retains the Princesses Mary and Anne, so vindicating the rights of the kingdom by preserving the succession in the true line. In 1885, Medallic Illustrations rated this medal as rare and it is hardly ever seen to-day.
