Fine quality early 19th Century mahogany Stick Barometer, in essentially original condition, with ‘'swan-neck' pediment over signed engraved silvered brass register plate, bearing rack-and-pinion operated vernier. The case of ‘flame’ mahogany, edge moulded, ebony banded and inset with detachable mercury Fahrenheit thermometer; the original concealed barometer tube terminating behind turned cistern cover.
