The four drawer base section with well figured matched veneers fitted with brass drop handles and the drawers oak lined throughout. Standing on turned bun feet believed to be original. Some replacement handles ( cast to match original).
Retaining an excellent rich colour and patination.
It is of interest that most of these cabinets of this size were intended as scriptors but soon some preferred the advantage of opening doors and the transition began with many early cabinets converted shortly after or possibly during manufacture.
