ALFRED AUGUSTUS JNR GLENDENING
Alfred Glendening was born in London. Not much information exists about his education or much of his early life. In 1864 he exhibited Morning on a Grassmore Lake, at The Royal Society of British Artists, then in 1865 went on to exhibit A Cornfield – Kent at the Royal Academy. He specialized in English landscapes, his paintings frequently featuring small figures by the water, often full of light filtering through the sky and subtle shades of colour.
